Shaping of the pointed electrode is typically completed on a grinding wheel or Tungsten electrode sharpener. When utilizing a grinding wheel it is best to work with a wonderful grit wheel that's only for use for sharpening Tungsten electrodes. There exists a downside to using a grinding wheel.
